Chicago Ataxia Support Group Meeting
December 14, 2019 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Join us for a special Ataxia support group meeting in downtown Chicago on the Magnificent Mile! Dr. Puneet Opal, the director of the Ataxia Clinic of Northwestern Memorial Hospital will be present, as will Lori Shogren, the Community Program and Services Director of the National Ataxia Foundation.
Visitors should park in a parking garage on Huron and Superior marked Parking lot A. You will be given parking passes at the meeting to cover your parking costs. All entrances to the hospital are wheelchair accessible. If you will be traveling to the meeting by public transportation, there are several options. Several city buses and the Red Line of the subway serve Michigan Avenue and the Magnificent Mile. We suggest you consult Google Maps for the option that is best for you.
This room has Internet access and we are allowed to serve food. Please bring easy to eat holiday treats to the meeting to share. We will provide paper napkins, plates and plastic cups. If the treat you are bringing requires a serving utensil or silverware, please plan to bring them, but also contact us so we can coordinate our efforts. If you wish to return home with any item you are bringing (a serving platter, for example), please label it to ensure it is returned to you.
RSVPs for this meeting is appreciated. To RSVP, join the group mailing list, or for more information contact the new Chicago Ataxia Support Group Leader, Julia Pantoga at 414-899-5195 or sharpturninstitute@gmail.com.
This support group will be meeting quarterly. The next meeting will be held on March 7, 2020.
