Johns Hopkins Ataxia Center Music Therapy Support Group

February 19, 2026 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

When: 10-week series on Thursdays at 1pm ET, beginning January 8, 2026, via zoom.

For: Anyone with Ataxia who would like to use music for support

Description: A therapy group to process feelings and support each other through the highs and lows of life. We use music to help us do this, through sharing, listening to, and discussing songs, using music for grounding and mindfulness, and singing. No prior musical experience needed, just an open mind and willingness to show up for yourself and others!

To benefit from the group, it is strongly recommended to plan on attending every session. This group will be a closed group, by registration only, and will be limited in size.

Register: Email Emily Mahoney at emahone8@jhu.edu. Registration will be on a first come basis.
