Dr. Vitaliy Bondar is a Research Associate in Dr. Huda Zoghbi’s laboratory at Baylor College of Medicine. Vitaliy received his Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Genetics from the University of Minnesota, T.C. and then went on to earn his Ph.D. from Baylor College of Medicine in Molecular and Human Genetics. His thesis project is focused on identifying druggable modulators of the levels of ATXN1, a protein that drives neurodegeneration in spinocerebellar ataxia type 1 (SCA1).
