The Magnolia shelter is the covered picnic area right off of the main parking lot. It is a covered shelter with a few tables. There is no electricity. It is located next to the playground and bathrooms. It is right before the entrance to the welcome center, waterfront, and docks.
Unfortunately there is no swimming allowed at Lake Wheeler.
Fishing is allowed and licenses are available at the welcome center.
Pets must be on a leash.
