Hillary is a neuroscience PhD student and Certified Genetic Counselor in Dr. Harry Orr’s laboratory at the University of Minnesota. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Puget Sound in 2013 followed by a Master of Science in Molecular, Cellular, Developmental Biology, and Genetics from the University of Minnesota in 2016. Hillary’s research aims to understand pathological mechanisms underlying the lethal aspect of brainstem disease in SCA1.
