Support group meetings are a great way to socialize and learn with others who are affected by Ataxia. We welcome you to join us! The discussion is led by our volunteer Support Group Leaders, who are looking forward to helping you connect with others.

It’s a Holiday Party!! 

Please join us on Saturday, December 21, 2024 for our Support Group Social Event.  This event is for all ataxians and care partners (and our social workers).

We will have lunch, a chance to visit and maybe a chance to win some gifts!

RSVP’s are required to attend this event.  We have to provide the number of attendees one week prior to the event, so please let us know if you will be joining us no later than Friday, Dec 13th by noon.  Please RSVP to Sharon Hardel, the name of the ataxian and care partner attending.  Email her at – youthrock9@comcast.net or text her 717.805.4569.

The organization will pay for lunch and also for your entry into the park ($7 Nebraska license plate/$14 any other license plate).  You will have to let the gate guard know that you are with the Ataxia Connection Group having lunch at Carl’s.  They will let you enter and I will take care of the bill.

The holidays are a busy time so we hope to see you.  If not, we hope you are enjoying the holidays with friends and family.

Meeting location: Carl’s at Mahoney State Park, 28500 West Park Hwy., Ashland, NE 68003.  Located inside the PETER KIEWIT LODGE @ Mahoney State Park. This is about halfway between Omaha and Lincoln, NE.
