How to Schedule an Appointment
The first step is to have the patient register with the hospital. This is done by calling 866-211-6588. They will ask for all the patient demographic information and insurance information. The patient will be assigned a medical record number.
Second step is to have a clinical referral and records faxed to the Neurology Access Center, fax is 617-724-0412. The records will be scanned into the system and a referral entered. Once the referral is entered, the patient will be contacted for an appointment.
This is all dependent on whether or not the hospital is contracted with the patient’s insurance. If the hospital is not contracted an appointment cannot be made without the patient first obtaining an out of network referral to MGH.
