Support group meetings are a great way to socialize and learn with others who are affected by Ataxia. We welcome you to join us! The discussion is led by our volunteer Support Group Leaders, who are looking forward to helping you connect with others.
Meeting Information
Chelsea is a neurologic physical therapist and postdoctoral researcher at Washington University in St. Louis where she studies cerebellar ataxias and related neurodegenerative conditions. Chelsea completed an advanced board-certified neurologic physical therapy residency program and later earned her PhD at Columbia University in New York, where her work focused on exercise and brain health in people with degenerative cerebellar ataxias.
Her clinical and research career has centered on improving how we measure and support real-world function for people living with ataxia and related conditions. Her current research uses wearable sensor technology to better understand how movement patterns in daily life can inform care, rehabilitation, and future treatment development.
