NAF joined efforts spearheaded by the American Brain Coalition (ABC) to create a Neuroscience Center of Excellence at the FDA. We signed on to ABC’s letters to Congress. One letter asks Congresswoman DeGette and Congressman Upton to include the Neuroscience Center of Excellence in their Cures 2.0 legislation. The other letter urges Congressional Neuroscience Caucus co-chairs Congressman Blumenauer and Congresswoman McMorris Rodgers to champion the Center’s creation.
You can help support these efforts! Below are two actions you can take to get involved.
Urge Congress to Support an FDA Neuroscience Center of Excellence
The American Brain Coalition, NAF, and other brain-related organizations and professionals are calling on Congress to create a Neuroscience Center of Excellence at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). This initiative will create an environment to foster patient-centered decision-making and bring new safe and effective treatments for brain diseases and disorders to those who need them.
Congress may soon consider 21st Century Cures legislation focused on delivering innovation to patients. Use the link below to customize a sample letter to send it to your Member of Congress to urge his or her support for a Neuroscience Center of Excellence at the FDA.
Ask Your Legislator to Join the Congressional Neuroscience Caucus
The Congressional Neuroscience Caucus is leading the way in supporting and advancing funding for the biomedical research that will help find better treatments and cures for brain disorders and illnesses.
The strength of the Congressional Neuroscience Caucus will grow as more Members of Congress join and add their voices in support of brain health and research. Use the link below to contact your House representatives and ask them to join the Congressional Neuroscience Caucus.
