2020 JMB is Bigger Than Ever

Last year, Mike De Rosa Sr. and Ed Brand started the Joint Mission Bataan to Cure Ataxia (JMB). They marched more than 26 miles through the desert to support NAF’s mission and raise awareness about Ataxia. Together, they raised more than $35,000. This year, we had 31 representatives step up across the country to get involved!

They will be making this challenging journey on March 15, 2020. Each of the marchers are affected by Ataxia in some way. Some have it themselves and others are marching in honor of a friend or family member. We’d like to thank the marchers for their efforts and dedication! We appreciate their support of NAF and honoring America’s veterans.

About Joint Mission Bataan to Cure Ataxia

The Joint Mission Bataan is an exciting opportunity to support the Ataxia community and veterans, at the same time. NAF and many individuals from around the country have committed to hiking 26.2 miles in the New Mexico desert as part of the Bataan Memorial Death March. The march honors heroic service members who served their country during World War II. Individuals complete the march as a joint mission that will raise awareness for Ataxia, support NAF’s mission, and honor veterans.

If you have any questions about this campaign or are interested in joining next year, please reach out to NAF’s Development Director, Joel Sutherland at joel@ataxia.org or 763-231-2748.
